Hide and seek, slipper x, patintero, bahay-bahayan and Chinese garter - these are just some of the usual games a Filipino child would play when I was a kid. I grew up in a place wherein children usually have sun kissed skin, sweaty forehead, and bloody knees after playing outside together with their playmates which are from the neighborhood. Having a computer was a big thing for us way back then, and I can still clearly remember the first time I encountered a laptop.
My uncle, who happened to be a seafarer, brought two laptops to my grandparent’s home. He was so kind that he gave his old laptop to his niece, who is my cousin. My cousin let us explore it by letting us watch movies and play games. I was ignorant at first because it feels foreign to me. It felt odd to be introduced to a mouse that doesn’t have ears, mouth, and eyes as it would regularly look! It felt weird but, my preference changed when I got the chance to play it.
It was amazing when I got to know Encarta for kids. Well, I wasn’t the reader type back then, but it contains some facts that might be useful to some of its games. It was the very reason why I explored Encarta together with my cousin, who is a year older than me. It is where I learned my birthstone and other sciences, mathematics, spelling, and history stuff.
What is your story about the first time you encountered a computer? Come on, spill the tea and I’m all eyes to read it!

You're using computer at its right purpose. No wonder how smart you are right now hehe char.
